Hello! Hello! Long time no blog! It’s been quite some time, friends, and I apologize for that!
Life has gotten quite busy, and while I’ve been working hard on my photography and working on photoshoots and weddings, I haven’t been able to blog regularly! It might be a while until I’m able to do so again, but in my best efforts to be better at blogging, I wanted to share my most recent adventure to an absolutely b-e-a-utiful place I was able to visit for the very first time last weekend!
Last Saturday, I was absolutely itching for an adventure, to go somewhere after I had finished a wedding (which I will be sharing with you soon)! After being kind of caved in the past couple of months with work, I wanted to catch a breath of fresh air and visit a place I’ve never been! I had had two friends tell me about the Carlsbad Flower Fields, but I had yet to visit them before they closed in early May, so finally, early Sunday morning before church, I asked John if we could go! It was a spur of the moment thing–but he said yes! Woo!
So after lunch, we headed out to Carlsbad to take in the beautiful field of flowers! As we approached the fields, I’m pretty sure I squealed a ton of times out of excitement! I absolutely LOVE ranunculus and flowers in general, so this was extremely exciting for me! And I definitely wasn’t let down once we finally entered!
It was BEAUTIFUL.
It was seriously like looking at a rainbow on the ground! I was amazed at how they organized the ranunculus by color! There were a couple variances, like the white flowers amidst the purple in this next picture, but they did so well at keeping their lines of colors! Since we went a bit late, the flowers weren’t as lush as they probably were at the beginning of April! So those of you looking to go next year, I hear the start of April is the best time to go! :)
I think John was (almost) as happy as I was to be there!
Now the next few shots are my absolute favorite because they’re my favorite color of ranunculus! I absolutely LOVE the light and bright Spring colors!
Looking at these just make me SO happy! It’s like reliving their beauty! :)
There was a tractor tour we could have gone on, but John and I took on the fields by foot! :)
Our only selfie during the day, and we came out looking like derps, but oh well!
Besides the ranunculus, they also had a couple of other greenhouses and gardens of other flowers! I don’t quite remember what flower this was, but they were so pretty, too!
There was also a sweet smelling sweet pea maze that was pretty fun! At first, John and I thought it was just a walk through, but it ended up really being a maze! John did a good job and led us out while I kept stopping to smell how beautiful they smelt! Sweet Pea is definitely one of my favorite Bath & Body fragrances! ;)
Next to the maze was a beautiful orchid greenhouse, too! And this is where we ended our trip! There were a couple bloomed orchids and quite a few that weren’t, but it was so cool to see how many they actually had! They were so pretty that they looked fake!
And lastly, just to end the blog, here’s another shot of my favorites again! ;)
Happy Spring everyone! If you ever get the chance mozey on over to Carlsbad and check this place out! It’s definitely worth the trip! It’s probably one of my favorite places ever now! :)
Until I blog again!
Happy Friday!
