At the very beginning, Tanya and Vineet continuously ran into each other on several occasions.
“We met each other on several occasions. We kept bumping into each other at a sandwich shop, filling up our cars with gas, and even at Tar-jay!” – Tanya
Well Vineet must’ve made quite an impression, because when Tanya stopped seeing him around (he stopped working in the same plaza as she did, which meant they weren’t near each other anymore for the “run-ins”), she sent him a rose to show him that she was interested. Talk about being bold!!
Vineet then asked Tanya to watch a movie with him and the rest was history! And if that isn’t sweet enough for you, Vineet’s proposal was pretty sweet–literally! ;) He proposed with the ring hidden in an ice cream sundae!
Nine years later and here we are–celebrating their beautiful nine years of marriage! They never had any photos taken of them when they got married, so this session was extra special for the both of them! :)
Tanya explained to me a little bit about why she wanted to have a picnic themed photo session:
“I wanted to document our 9 year anniversary because each year married we have a tradition of following the traditional wedding gift ideas! This year it was willow. Willow is symbolic of being strong and durable but also pliable enough to intertwine with one another to form a unified object. So, we selected a willow basket and set off to capture a romantic picnic shoot.”
While Vineet told me Tanya makes great meals daily for him, which he loves immensely, I found out that Vineet also sometimes cooks special meals for Tanya, and buys her flowers regularly, which also truly made the idea behind their session completely perfect–we had the fresh flowers and the picnic setting! :)
Vineet and Tanya had a weekend wedding celebration! They celebrated a simple, private wedding ceremony on the shore of Laguna Beach, and a more traditional Indian wedding dinner reception the following day! How fun! :)
“My first impression was that I thought Vineet looked genuine, and attractive. I remember honestly feeling, or saying, that I was gonna marry him in the back of my mind.” – Tanya
Tanya had nothing but good truly words to say about her husband! Vineet also thought she was quite attractive and a really nice girl. He loved how she valued her family and their traditions, and how cultured she was. :)
Vineet shared with me that Tanya gives him a very secure, loving feeling, and I totally saw and felt that while I was working with the both of them. :)
A little word from Tanya about their nine years of marriage as they go onto a decade of being united as one:
“My advise is to stay unified! This will form an everlasting bond to work together to achieve common goals, hardships, and triumphs! These are all things that have drawn us together. A united force of one. A willow tree is drawn to water and flourishes where water is plentiful.”
I had so much fun with this beautiful couple! I loved hearing about their story and getting to work with them through the session! HAPPY NINE YEARS VINEET & TANYA! :)
Happy Friday!
