Some of you may have been waiting for this blog since I debuted some previews (click here, or here to view), or maybe when I showed a little behind the scenes look (click here), or maybe even way back when I met with this lovely lady to plan her photoshoot and wrote about why client meetings are so important (click here)! Well, however you might have heard about this shoot, I’d like to finally introduce to you the ever talented, Tara Honda!
If this is your first time hearing about Tara, she’s an indie pop rock musician who’s been hitting the scene hard with her sweet shows! :) You can check out her website and music here! (She also has a Facebook fan page you can go like here, and a Sound Cloud you can listen to here) I’ve known Tara since high school and it’s been so awesome seeing her music develop and shape these past few years! Her voice is simply amazing and I’ve been loving the music and the lyrics she’s been composing! She’s truly an artist!
I was so honored when I received a message from her asking about getting her portraits taken! Meeting after meeting I became more and more excited about her photoshoot to come! Her outfit choices combined with her makeup artist’s work, Corrina Lynn (check out her Instagram), turned out gorgeous on camera and I loved the location we chose! :)
We’ve waited for a while for this day as Tara’s been working hard on her new EP! I’m so excited for her to publicize it! For now, take a look at her awesome photoshoot!
Her dress flowed gorgeously in the cool breeze we had the day of the shoot! :)
When picking her outfit choices, Tara wanted to pick clothes that would help her look more mature and more like an artist. I think she did a great job of finding that balance and also rocking it like a model! ;)
Her second dress was gorgeous! I loved the colors of it and how fun and warm it was paired with the lighting! :)
Corrina did such a great job on her makeup! :) She changed it up throughout the shoot, styling it to fit with each outfit! It was so fun seeing her work and having her on set during the shoot! :)
Tara changed back into her first outfit, but added some edge to it with a fun, funky green jacket she found thrifting! It gave the shoot a fun new element as the sun went down! :)
I loved this part of the shoot! It was a different feel to the shoot! :) Tara looked so great!
As the sun went down, Tara put on one last outfit really quick to have one last bit of fun to the shoot!
After this last shot, we called it a wrap! I had such a fun time with Tara, Corrina, and another friend & photographer who came on set to help out, Justin Regaspi (JRegaspi Photography)!
Again, if you haven’t heard Tara’s sweet music, check it out on her website (here), or on her Sound Cloud (here)! :)
Happy Friday everyone!
