Jessie is one beautiful young woman inside and out! In 2010 I had her on my church’s youth group camp’s team! It’s been four years since the first time I was ever Jessie’s REVAMP counselor, and I can’t even begin to explain how blessed I am to have seen her grow not only physically but spiritually as well! Almost a month before our shoot I found myself her counselor once again, and it was so great getting to hear how she’s been doing! :)

The one thing that strikes me about Jessie is her desire and will to truly seek God. After moving to a location where the influences at the local school weren’t so great, she opted to be home schooled–a tough choice for any teen! She wasn’t bullied into this decision, but made it with the very intentions of placing herself in a healthier environment. I really admire this decision of hers, and I can really see how it truly helped her grow in her relationship with Jesus.

It was a beautiful day for a photoshoot, and it was so much fun! I loved how cute and summery Jessie’s first outfit was, and how sophisticated her second outfit was as well! It was a cute contrast, and one that worked great with our beautiful scenery! :)

 

 

 

I LOVED her chandelier earrings! & Our dear friend, Rochelle, did an amazing job on her makeup! :)

 

 

 

 

This beautiful Taylor guitar belongs to Jessie’s mother! While her mother might not play it much, Jessie shared with me her love to play and how she’s learning how to herself! She’s still a beginner, but it’s great to see her ambition to grow in it! :)

Jessie’s second outfit is a little more formal or sophisticated! It really made her stand out in her surroundings, but in a cool way! :)

 

 

 

 

Like most of my clients, Jessie was a bit nervous at the beginning of the shoot (thought you might not be able to tell because she’s so gosh darn photogenic & a natural!). But by the time we got to the end of the shoot, Jessie looked so comfortable in front of the camera! :)

I asked Jessie if there was any piece of advice she’d like to give to all the future high school grads out there (& it applies to college graduates, as well!):

“I would have to say don’t slack off because time seriously flies by so fast!”

And it sounds a bit cliché but in all honesty, four years goes by really quickly! So make the most of your time and remember that it’s a relatively short time! So push through it! :)

 

 

We had SUCH a fun shoot! Jessie and I had a blast catching up and seeing how she was doing since REVAMP! We definitely ended this time with more awesomeness–In-N-Out & Starbucks! :)
