I hope you’ve all had a lovely past Sunday celebrating the wonderful mothers & motherly influences in your life! This mother’s day I felt like I got the treat as my mom allowed me to pamper her up and do a mini shoot of her in our backyard!
Now for those of you who do not know my mother, she is not one for getting her portraits taken. Like me, she loves to capture memories and photographs everyone and everything she can. You know those mom’s who go “Wait! Another one! Wait! Hold on!” as she captures your photo in front of an attraction of some sort? That’s my mom. :)
She’s one of the most hard working and loving mothers I know. Everything she does, she does with a heart and care for her family and friends. She will go beyond anything expected of her to help those around her. She sacrifices and works so hard daily. I’m so thankful for the blessing she is in my life!
My mom is one of the most passionate and charismatic people I know. People say that I’m pretty energetic & silly at times. Where did I get it from? This beautiful woman whom I love. :)
Now again, my mom is a person who is normally uncomfortable with getting photographed. She doesn’t think she’s photogenic to say in the least. When she saw the photos I took of her, she couldn’t believe her eyes, that she was capable of being photographed. I was SO blessed to have been able to capture these moments of her & for her to like them, was another blessing to me! :)
These are some of my favorite photos of my mom. She looks so happy! :)
During this part of our mini session, Simba and Stephen came out into the backyard to play. My mom had called Simba, and much to her surprise he came and sat down right next to her! I love how candid this part of the shoot turned out to be! :)
By the way, this is my pup, Simba. We adopted him from a shelter this past Christmas. :)
HAPPY TUESDAY!
