At the beginning of the school year, I held a Class of 2014 Competition where a high school senior & a college senior won Senior Portraits! Recently, I had the lovely opportunity to photograph my college senior winner & Class of 2014 representative, the beautiful Angela!
Angela was featured on my blog before as a contestant winner for the 2013 Mis Taiwanese American Pageant! She is such a beautiful, kind-hearted young woman! She has a heart for volunteer work & as she’s finishing up her last year at UC Santa Barbara, she’s been making time for helping out those around her, & her loved ones!
I had SO much fun with Angela during her photoshoot! Her sister Christine, one of my best friends who I had the pleasure of photographing for her senior portraits (see blog here), came along & helped out as an assistant during the day (she’s also the wedding coordinator of Sweetly Memorable Weddings & Events)! It was a beautiful day in January, and surprisingly not freezing due to the polar vortex that’s made it a warm winter here in Southern California!
Angela had a desire to have a rustic senior portraits shoot, so after some time of figuring out her outfits and where we were going to shoot, we settled on a location at Santa Rosa Plateau! I loved the color of her first pink dress!
I couldn’t keep this silly girl off the tree! HAHA! No matter how old we get, and the more we mature, I still believe that there is still a part of our childhood ingrained in us! Some of us just like to show it off a little more than others! ;)
Angela’s second outfit, was absolutely wonderful too! I loved how free flowing her dress was and the color of her cardigan!
After looking at it for a while, I concluded that the pocket on her cardi is shaped as a cat intentionally! So trendy!
I absolutely adored Angela’s outfit at this location! She brought along a chalkboard she’s had since she was young! Who knew it’d be such a great addition to this photoshoot years later? :) Quickly, I chalked up “Class of 2014” for her and we started to play with it! :)
Angela is also amazingly talented at the violin, just like her sister!! In fact, their entire family is wonderfully musically talented!
She actually really did play a song for me!! Guess what it was? :)
She played some of the songs from the Frozen soundtrack (which is totally my current obsession, by the way)!
“The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9
As we wrapped up the shoot, we decided to take a couple in the road! (Don’t worry, we played it safe, and there was barely anyone driving around!)
And at the very end, we did take some of the two lovely sisters!
& To end this blog post similarly to how Christine’s ended, here’s this awesome photo of Angela doing the meditation pose! So funny how both sisters reverted to doing this during their shoots! (scroll to the end to see Christine’s here)
Congratulations to you, Angela!! You’re almost done with this stage in life!! SO awesome! May God continue to bless and guide the rest of your journey into adulthood! :)
Happy Friday!
