I met Tiffany in the 6th grade. She was one of my very first friends I made after I moved away from my old town! All through Middle School we were inseparable! But as time would tell.. we had a time through high school where we grew apart, and did some growing on our own! Nearly 8 years later, I was able to reconnect with her over a cup of coffee a couple weeks ago! It was such a great meeting! Getting to see how God’s grown us each and just being able to catch up with each other! :)
This past weekend, I had the lovely opportunity of photographing her and her sister, Natalie, with my friend Grace! This was a mini portraits session in which I took the opportunity to help teach Grace some tricks I’ve learned over the years in posing and portraits! It was fun being able to mentor Grace as best as I could! Maybe I’ll share a trick or two on my next blog? ;)
Anyhow, Natalie and Tiffany met us in Old Town Temecula! They worked the camera and it was such a fun day! :) I’ve never actually worked with two female models/sisters before in a solo shoot. So it was an interesting and new dynamic for me, but a LOT of fun! :)
This day was mostly for Grace to practice shooting and posing, so I didn’t take very many! I mostly assisted and tried to teach! I only took a couple of the individual sisters while Grace practiced on one at a time, and a few that I had them pose to help Grace come up with ideas!
The last time I saw Natalie, she was a tiny girl in elementary school! It was SUCH a crazy experience seeing how much she grew up! :) It’s hard for me to believe she’s a freshman in college now!
This day, I helped Grace learn how to pose! We went through how to begin posing, and then after having ideas, how to put them into play and fix or alter them!
This is one of my favorites. :) Such a sweet moment between the sisters!
These photos of Tiffany & Natalie under the tree were posed by Grace, though she was unable to take the shot with the lens and camera body she had with her! I loved editing these! Such sweet moments!
Near the end of the shoot, we decided to have some fun doing some photos that were more “fashion forward”. These were pretty fun! I usually don’t do very pose-y photos since my style is more natural, but these were a lot of fun to think up and create! :)
We ended the shoot, and ate at a local restaurant called Public House! We definitely got some AMAZING fries, mac & cheese and… *drumroll please* S’MORES! These are the s’mores! I could eat a whole plate by myself! HAHA! :) I absolutely love when I get to spend time getting to know my clients! We had such a blessed time of fellowshipping and just catching up and getting to know one another more on a deeper level! This was such an AWESOME way to end the fun filled day! :)
Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend!
HAPPY TUESDAY! :)
