So far, this past year I have been blessed with the opportunity to photograph and capture two amazing proposals! I don’t have a set package on these, but when my good friend Wes first asked to hire me to  photograph his special day, even though I was quite nervous, I couldn’t turn him down! That was my very first proposal, and since then, I realized how much I really love being able to photograph those moments! The second proposal was for another good friend, Titus! When he asked, I was jumping up and down! Of course a lot of my excitement was because I was extremely happy for each couple to be taking this step, but I was also really excited the second time around to be able to photograph these special moments!

There is something that just fills me with complete joy when I capture the expression of the woman being proposed to, and the expression on the man’s face as he asks for her hand–It’s such a sweet and special moment, and the love they communicate to each other is absolutely priceless. And although I love to write about how it’s done and display it, of course, what makes a proposal is the actual moment between the future bride and groom when he asks, and she says “yes”.

I love photographing proposals because like weddings, no two are ever the same. Each proposal is a special and unique moment between man and woman–and their love for each other never fails to put a huge smile on my face (which is hopefully hidden well behind my camera so I don’t look like a creep)! And you can never compare two to each other, each couple has their own story, and that’s what makes it special. No matter what they may be wearing, or how it has been done–whether it’s private and intimate, or a grandeur event where more people are present–what makes a proposal absolutely beautiful is the couple and their decision to take a step further in their relationship! They alone make each shot absolutely priceless. :)

Definitely hoping & praying for more opportunities to capture these precious moments! As much as I love to bless the couple with these captured moments of their special day, I equally get so blessed by seeing their love and joy in the moment! :)
