The first time I met Rosa and Sergio during a walk through of San Junipero Serra Museum, one thing was greatly apparent–their strong love for one another. Whether it was through their personal discussions, or their glances towards one another as they walked around, I could just see their care for one another oozing out towards one another (not in PDA or anything, but you could just tell)! :)
As we pulled up to the Best Western hotel near San Junipero Serra Museum, the sky was a pretty bright blue, and I was ecstatic to see Rosa and Sergio on their big day! :) When we arrived on scene, Rosa and Sergio were both in the process of getting their finishing touches before they headed off to the Museum, but we had time to take a couple photos of the bridal party with the bride and groom separately–they wanted their first look to be at the alter before their friends and family. :)
During the toasts, I got to learn a lot more about Sergio and Rosa from the perspectives of their friends, and something that I absolutely loved hearing was how everyone clearly viewed their love for one another. One of the most memorable things that I heard said of their love was how Rosa was a great woman who cared for those around her, and how Sergio was a man who would jump up and take care of her in a heartbeat–if I can remember correctly, it was said that Sergio would only be early to something for Rosa. The other thing that I remembered quite well was something that the bridesmaids said to Sergio, “FINALLY!” ;)
So now that the highly anticipated big day has passed, CONGRATULATIONS ONCE AGAIN, SERGIO & ROSA!! :)
The back of Sergio’s vest was pretty cool! There was a sneaky paisley design! :)
Sergio’s groomsmen were hilarious! They were a lot of fun to work with and had a lot of jokes! :)
The main color of the wedding was guava! The florist did an absolutely beautiful job with the flowers, don’t you think? :) Rosa’s bridesmaids were beautiful and kind, and they definitely had Rosa’s back–they were always one step ahead, making sure that Sergio didn’t get an accidental first look of Rosa before it was meant to be! :)
Rosa’s little flower girl was adorable! She had just woken up from a nap for a photo with the bridal party, but you’ll see her enthusiasm during the ceremony! :)
When John and I arrived to the museum, the first thing I saw was their beautiful candy table. :) I wanted to eat everything. :)
Their floral arrangements on their tables were absolutely beautiful as well! :)
And then there was their cake… which was a whole other story! Isn’t it absolutely beautiful?! Such a gorgeous touch to their wedding. :)
And then it was time for the ceremony to begin… the most important part of the wedding. ;)
They had live violinists playing the music for the walks down the isle. :)
This sweet little girl was so enthusiastic as she did her job. :) She was one of the best flower girls I have ever seen! She left a beautiful trail! :)
And then it was time for the grand entrance.
My heart melted as I witnessed the emotions of complete love and joy being exchanged as Rosa and Sergio saw each other for the first time through my camera lens. It was enough to make me tear as I was filled with so much joy for the both of them!
The ceremony was very different than most weddings I have been with–it was very personal and touching. :)
And then it was time for the “I dos”, the rings, and the long-awaited “you may kiss the bride” moment :)
As I followed the newly announced couple, I was lucky enough to catch a quick kiss between the two as they headed out into the beautiful weather finally united as one! :)
Meanwhile, John was able to capture their awesome cocktail hour, complete with handmade, fresh tortillas! :)
After a couple with the bridal party and family, we snuck away to take some photos afterwards of Sergio and Rosa!
John caught this image from behind them! :)
After their beautiful private session, we headed back up to their reception. We were welcomed by the delicious aroma of their feast, and a beautiful sunset. :)
As the sun set, and everyone settled in, we heard some beautiful toasts. :)
Things ended on a “sweet” note as the beautiful newly weds cut into their cake. :)
Congratulations to Sergio & Nava! May your love for one another continue to grow over the years! :)
Happy Friday!
