Every year for the past three years, I have volunteered my services to my fellow brothers and sisters in a Christian Fellowship I was in at the University of California, Riverside: “Asian American Christian Fellowship”. Usually I have taken the photos of graduating seniors to celebrate their service and dedication to our fellowship at our end of the year banquet!
However, since I was graduating this year and finished in December, I didn’t have time to photograph my beloved class before our senior banquet. BUT, that did not stop me from photographing as many of my fellow seniors as I could! We set up a date during their finals week where a majority of them were free and the result was awesome! I got to photograph some of my beautiful friends!
Here are a few from their photoshoot! Let me first introduce you to them all individually. :)
This lovely lady is the mama of us all: Jenny. Jenny is known in our fellowship for how amazing her cooking is! :) If you have a question about how to cook something, chances are that she can help you out. She is also extremely loving, and helpful, and while she can be very mature and motherly, is also someone that I love just hanging out and being silly with. Love her and her company always! :)
Now here is Will Ryan. The first time I met him, he was dressed as a Rhino for an annual dinner event. Hah! I will never forget that. But since then, my memories of him include telling crazy past life stories and him being dressed as a korean popstar and always, always, being that go-to helper for events and planning. He’s the type of person who, even if you get interrupted, will always keep attentive to your needs. He has always been a great friend and brother and someone who is always there for you if you need it–he has a great servant’s heart. Many, many great moments with this guy! :)
Next is our youtube popstar, Lauren! You may know her from her famous Youtube account. :) Lauren is a beautiful and talented woman who can sing, dance and she is athletic. She is such a cheerful and loving person! I love being around her and seeing her smile! :) Take a look at her Youtube and listen to her spectacular voice!
Now this is my “bro,” Anthony. He is one of the chillest people I know. He is another brother I have been blessed to have known because of his constant ability to be there for you. I have been “saved” by this guy quite a few times from being in awkward situations. Haha! Anthony is also another one of those go-to people that is there for you when you need it! He’s taught me a lot about the “bro lingo” and puts up with my craziness. :) I am so thankful to have him as a friend!
This girl here is Joy! She is has one of the happiest people I have ever met! The joy of the Holy Spirit is definitely within this girl! :) Since the first time I ever met her, although she can be a bit shy sometimes, she is always so very happy and cheerful and it makes those around her happy and cheerful, also! :)
Now this is my dear sister, Breane. Breane is one crazy, crazy girl. She and I are partners in crime in just being upbeat and crazy. She and I served together as coordinators for the Womens ministry in our fellowship with our head leader, Hilary! We have gone through so much together and I don’t think college would have been the same without her. Together we are ranked first and second place for craziest girl in our fellowship. But outside of our silliness, she is one of the girls I stay up til 5am talking about life with when I have a 7am appointment. Words cannot explain our friendship! Haha! Love this girl so much! :)
Vanessa is another crazy girl! One time she told me a story about how she ate a teaspoon (or maybe tablespoon) of cinnamon! She is up to all food challenges! We met up once and ate rice porridge through a straw! Haha! Beyond her craziness, she has a heart of gold, and does her best to serve and help those around her. :)
GRACE! Grace is another one of those girls who is always there for you when you need it. She has always been my go-to girl whenever I am stuck in a dilema, or need to talk about life with. She is one of those people you can be completely be transparent with, without judgement. College wouldn’t have been the same without her either. She has touched all of our lives with her heart of service. :) When our friendship first started off, it was primarily her making fun of me. But now, I think we’ve broken even. ;) Love this girl to pieces even though we don’t verbalize that often. :)
Christine is an amazingly beautiful girl that I met my sophomore year, also. We hit it of just great and since then, this girl and I have been great friends. She is one of those people who has amazing godly advice and always has an open ear. I have had so many blessed conversations with this girl, and look forward to many more. :) Love herrrr!
Meet Konlly! Konlly is such a sweetheart! Haha! He is the person you ask questions about animals to. ;) One day he will be a great zoologist that maybe you’ll see on TV! He also has a great heart of service and just love for those around him! He is one of the most sincere people I have ever met and I have loved getting to know him and spend time with him! :)
Anson is the Bible guru. Whenever I am stuck trying to remember a bible verse, or have a question about something I’ve read, Anson has always been my walking dictionary and help. He is also a walking giant. Haha! I feel like a midget standing next to him. :) Anson is also another brother who does his very best to help out those as he can. He has a great heart for the Lord and it’s amazing to see his devotion to the homeless ministry in Riverside. Such an encouragement to my life! :)
We call Joseph, “Jo-Jo”! :) His laugh is a laugh that is audible three rooms down the hall, or across campus! Joseph has quite the enthusiasm to be a servant! He never fails to put himself out there to try to help as best as he can! He is a great brother! :)
Brittany is another AMAZING woman of God! I have loved meeting up with this girl and learning more about her walk with God! She has such a caring heart and is someone who has been so kind to me since I’ve met her. One of my fondest memories with her is sitting in the back of a car with her trying to teach her how to dance. HAHA! That was a great time! :) Love talking and spending time with this girl! Her presence in my life has been a blessing I will never forget.
ASHLEY is one of the “swaggest” girls you will ever meet. I met this girl through our mutual friend and had my first conversation with her as she drove me back to UCR. We talked about her love for chocolate, and listened to Destiny’s Child. She is one of the most welcoming people I have met. Getting to know her through the years has been awesome, and seeing her love for God and her desire to serve has been such a blessing! :)
This is Jen! Jen is one lovely lady who, like many in my wonderful class, has a great servant’s heart. She has always been so readily available to give rides to those in need, and also take people on spontaneous adventures. She took me on my first trip to Boiling Crab and Clas 302! It was a wonderful adventure! She has a great heart for those around her and a joy that is contagious! :)
Michelle is a bundle of joy, also! It has been a blessing getting to know her, and her story, and see the beauty that God’s made in her. She is definitely one of the most asian girls I have ever met, loving Korean music, and asian food, and everything, and it’s been so cool learning about different asian products and food from this lovely lady! :) I have loved getting to know her, and I hope to get to know her more! :)
Tim is one of the friendliest guys I have met! He is also incredibly silly! In our class yearbook, he is marked down as being the one who is most likely to belt out a Disney song. He may be tall, but he is definitely a kid at heart! He is one great guy I have gotten to know, and his help has always been so greatly appreciated. :)
Last but not least is by incredibly beautiful roommate, and another one of my dearest friend, Melody. She has been such an inspiration to me as a model student and also as someone with great care. When I first met her, I remember being worried that she would think I was too weird. But thankfully, I learned that we both could be weird together. I cannot explain how much I love being with this girlie and how I loved living with her. Her beauty on the outside, is definitely matched, and easily overtaken by her beauty on the inside. She is a beautiful woman of God. And she is someone who I have gone through a lot with, and someone who I know I can talk to about personal things, and is always there for me. I love her dearly. :)
Here are the group shots of these B-E-A-U-tiful people. :)
They’re modeling in this one. ;)
These are my sociology buddies. :) (Brittany is a psych major but soc minor, so she’s accepted into our group)
And last but not least, here are the funnies. :)
This pretty much describes their relationship. HAHA!
And this pretty much describes ours. Haha! I don’t have one of everyone, sadly! But here are the ones I do have. :)
I cannot even begin to explain how much these people, and those who couldn’t make it, have made an impact in my life. I thank God for their places in my life and how He’s used them to help me grow in the past three years I’ve gotten to know them. :)
Happy Thursday!
