Not too long ago, I had the lovely opportunity of photographing a family friend’s son, Andrew, and his date and girlfriend, Julia, to their High School ROTC Ball.

If you don’t know what ROTC stands for, it stands for Reserve Officers’ Training Corps! These young men and women work really hard to train themselves and prepare for a possible future in the Military. I have known Andrew for a couple of years and it is amazing to see how he’s grown and how he has taken on this responsibility.

I met the two and their families at Harveston Lake, a beautiful community lake that is commonly used for local photography, lazing around and relaxing, and feeding ducks. In fact, I have done all three here in my time. :)

Julia was beautiful! Funny thing, Julia and her mother and aunt came first and waited a while for the young Mr. Andrew to arrive. A few minutes later we finally caught a glimpse of him in his uniform carrying a beautiful red rose!
